Chris van Eekelen
Managing Director
Chris has over 30 years experience in the construction industry here in New Zealand and Australia. Chris is innovative with an entrepreneurial spirit, always striving to improve and succeed. Total Height Safety is a unique business which sits perfectly with Chris’s skills and knowledge, finding the best solutions for projects, and building a business which he believes in and can make a positive difference.
Sonya van Eekelen
Business Facilitator & director
Sonya owned a Robert Harris Franchise for 10 years which consolidated her business skills and gave her the ability to support Chris’s entrepreneurial drive. Her primary passion is working with people which is demonstrated in her 17 years in the health sector as a nurse. Sonya brings the team together and helps to drive and direct the business, promoting a culture of safety for the team as well as Total Height Safety clients.
Joshua van Eekelen
General Manager
Joshua leads the overall operations and strategic direction of Total Height Safety. He works closely with our team, clients, and suppliers to ensure every aspect of the business runs efficiently while maintaining the high standards we're known for. With extensive industry experience and a practical approach to leadership, Joshua is committed to delivering exceptional service, supporting our people, and driving the continued growth of the business.
SHARLEEN RANKIN
OFFICE MANAGER
Sharleen brings extensive experience in process management and streamlining operations. She excels at identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance both workflow and productivity. Her strategic mindset and attention to detail consistently drive successful outcomes, contributing significantly to our team.
William Gilpin
Installation and Inspection Manager
William manages the installation team as well as overseeing the inspections area of the business. Years of practical on-the-job experience combined with the ability to form great working relationships means that William is the perfect choice to manage our team of installers. Working closely with clients he ensures that each project is completed to the highest standard and within the project timeframe.
Harriet Rowe
Project pricing consultant (NZDCQS)
Since joining the team with a New Zealand Diploma in Construction Quantity Surveying (NZDCQS) from Ara Institute, Harriet has quickly become a key member of our pricing team. Her strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and collaborative approach have seen her take on increasing responsibility across a wide range of projects. Harriet continues to bring clarity, consistency, and a sharp eye to everything she works on, making her an invaluable part of our team.
NOAH GILPIN
INSTALLER (TEAM LEAD)
As one of our lead installers, Noah brings hands-on experience and strong technical knowledge to every project. Over the past few years, he has expanded his skill set across a variety of systems and continues to take pride in delivering quality workmanship. Noah’s proactive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to continual improvement make him a vital part of our install team.
Caleb van Eekelen
INSTALLER (TEAM LEAD)
Caleb brings a thoughtful, methodical approach to his role as one of our lead installers. He’s known for tackling challenges with a level head and consistently delivering clean, high-quality installs. With a strong focus on doing things right the first time, Caleb’s reliability and technical skill play a key role in keeping our projects running efficiently and safely.
Kelvin Wienand
INSTALLER
Kelvin is a driven and reliable member of our installation team, steadily building his skills across a range of height safety systems. Eager to learn and quick to pick things up, he works closely alongside our lead installers and approaches every job with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Kelvin's commitment to growth and his attention to detail make him a valuable part of the team.

Pete was a valued team member as our Auckland Manager for Total Height Safety, and we adored him as a friend, workmate and mentor to our younger men. Pete was full of life. His vibrant personality and great smile lit up any room or work site. He was a dedicated team player and brilliant fun to be around. Pete contributed to the success of our business, and we are forever grateful to his service and dedication. He is sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
