The Piano – Music Centre
The Piano is an architecturally designed building in the shape of a grand piano which is located on Gloucester Street, Central City, Christchurch. This job was awarded to us via the tender market which Leighs Construction were the main contractor.
We completed this job in two stages with two crew which took two days.
The first stage was on the upper metal roof which consisted of SafetyLink horizontal lifelines and anchor points. The second stage required lifelines however, this is a concrete roof with a waterproof membrane finish whicrh required wooden pile plinths for the lifelines to then be installed. The installation of handrails for the rooftop plant was also required. In total we have 69 metres of lifeline and seven anchor points. These fall arrest systems were installed to gain access to the roof and gutters to maintain general maintenance and get access to the roof to plant.
We visit this site annually to inspect and certify for compliance.
