Whakatane Paper Mill
Project Overview
Whakatane Mill is located in the Bay of Plenty, and is New Zealands only paperboard mill. A system was required to remove the fall hazard created during roll replacements by the maintenance crew.

Solution
We installed overhead rail onto walkway platforms, cable system across the machine, which included various anchor points, and rail systems along walkways. The job was a challenging one as the entire machine was made of stainless steel, proving difficult to drill with a hand drill, but also making it a very satisfying job to complete. We supplied the appropriate PPE for to allow them to carry out their work safely and provided training on the safe use of the system to the maintenance crew.
