Project Overview

This project features University of Otago’s new residential college, a state-of-the-art facility. Officially opened as Te Rangihīroa, this modern accommodation has quickly become the top choice for students in the upcoming year. The name Te Rangihīroa, gifted by Ngāti Mutunga in 2013, reflects the rich heritage and legacy of its namesake.

Solution

We carried out staged installations that included perimeter handrails around the entire roof, along with access ladders, platforms, and static lines to ensure safe maintenance access. In addition, we installed abseil anchors to provide full abseil access for building washers and maintenance personnel, significantly enhancing safety and operational efficiency across the building.
