The Piano is an architecturally designed building in the shape of a grand piano which is located on Gloucester Street, in the heart of Christchurch’s Performing Arts Precinct.
Fall arrest systems were required to gain safe access to the roof and gutters for general maintenance.

We completed this project in two stages.
The first stage was on the upper metal roof which consisted of SafetyLink horizontal lifelines and anchor points. The second stage required lifelines, however, this is a concrete roof with a waterproof membrane finish which required wooden pile plinths for the lifelines to then be installed. The installation of handrails for the rooftop plant was also required. In total, we have 69 metres of lifeline and seven anchor points.
We visit this site annually to inspect and certify for compliance.
