Cawthorn Aquaculture is a research facility that runs a biosecurity plant which researches the resources from the harmful effects of pests and diseases on the environment. Located in Nelson, New Zealand they have large ponds where they harvest fish and plant life for science. They require access to these ponds without the risk of falling into the water. Total Height Safety was engaged to place lifelines around the perimeter of the ponds.
Two horizontal lifelines were installed around the Cawthorn Aquaculture research facility to keep the workers from falling into the water. The horizontal lifelines were installed into engineered posts. Once the posts were in, installation of the lines took two hours.
